From this picture you may not be able to see all the bug bites on the shaven leg. But maybe this isnt the sort of thing you’d want to see anyway.
The black flies this spring were absolutely vicious. The fuzz on my left left did a good job of keeping a lot if the little buggers at bay, but my right leg got munched. So score one for the hairy leg.
We’re headed up to Kingdom Trails for 2 nights of camping, and hopefully 3 days of riding. I’m only bringing one bike, Pale Horsie, so I will have a detailed ride report nexgt week.

This might end up being the longest comment ever but…
when I was a kid I watched some educational-type movie on PBS one afternoon (at least that’s the way I remember it). This girl’s dad had grown a beard and she didn’t like it, it scared her. So one day she comes home and he pokes part of his head out from around the door and he’s clean shaven! She’s so psyched. But then he reveals the rest of his face and…HE STILL HAS HALF A BEARD! Aah! She’s totally freaked out.
I don’t know what reminded me of that. Total non sequitir.
Have fun at the NEK. I’m heading up next week for a one day banzai trip.
