So the time has come to think about how, what, why and when we re going to get to SSWC09.

Durango is less than convenient to get to unless you have a spaceship or a transporter. Nestled in the southwest corner of Colorado, with hundreds of miles between the nearest interstate and town limits, and even more hundreds of miles from rural Vermont.
I’d be happy to hear from anyone on the subject.

  1. We could carpool!

Oh, wait. I’m in Oregon… and have the same problem with getting there.

  2. Henry,
Durango is “west” of the rockies, as are you. While driving from Bend is no easy feat, taint any easier from New England.
Let’s party when you get there!

  3. Fly to Albuquerque, drive on 550 for 3.5 hours and you are there! Enjoy….

  4. Check out the Colorado trail just north of Durango… and if it has not been turned to wilderness (no wheels allowed) check out the shuttle riding south on Hermosa Creek.

  5. Thanks for the tips. We actually rode the Colorado Trail while we were there, I posted about it here:

They do a fantastic job of maintaining the trails out there, and we can’t wait to return.
