24 May 2010 - 8:34…And the Actual Weight is…
23.58 lbs.
Pretty impressive, no?
The frame is a medium “new and improved” Jet, with a tapered steerer tubed Reba XX, full XX group, Stan’s ZTR Race wheelset, Stan’s Racing Ralph front tire, Bontrager 29-0 rear tire, Ritchey Superlogic 10D bars, ESI grips, Bontrager Race X light stem, Easton EA90 seatpost, WTB Rocket V SLT saddle, and Crank Bros 4 Ti Eggbeater pedals.
And the contestant that guessed the closest weight without going over is:
RONALDO! He guessed 23.5
Well played! I’ll be sending you an email today to find out your shipping address so you can start using the tire you won.
Thanks for playing everyone, A ride report will be forthcoming!

Oh. I thought since it was a full suspension bike that you would put some real tires on it.
Where do you plan to ride that thing? On fire roads?
Kidding of course… Very nice build!!

The tires are not necessarily what I’d run, but hey, it isnt my bike.

Sweet build, but really, THAT rear tire? This bike really is a racing only build, isn’t it?
25 May 2010 - 11:27
Victory is mine…
Sweet. Sounds good. Wonder what the tire will be?

Tires are over-rated, I have ridden much less, see the Stans Crow…
The racing ralph I have used for a year in many conditions and have been very pleased with it. But yes, this is a race that only goes out once or twice a week.
If I am riding trails with the boys, it is the RIP, or the SS Vassago, both with beefier rubber.
